When making or editing a page on the Voices of the Void Wiki, please keep in mind the guidelines laid out in this Style Guide to help make this wiki easier to read and more consistent.

While these are guidelines, do not feel bad if you didn't properly style something. Others will correct your mistakes. You can always ask for help with styling your page, if you are unsure. This is a collaborative project, and everyone must start from somewhere.

Community rules

  • Only add publicly available information to the wiki.
    • No data that you that was either datamined or discovered from the patreon or boosty is eligible to be added to the wiki.
      • Only exception is text from the localization files, as that is designed to be seen by the community in attempts to translate the game to different languages.
      • If the steps of activating a secret is datamined, We will not document it until it been at max two months or if MrDrNose allows it to be posted.
    • Information from any patreon and boosty builds, or patreon and boosty discord channels, will be deleted.

Community guidelines

  • Vandalism or the spread of misinformation on any level is not tolerated.
    • Make sure to assume good faith at first. A person could simply been trying to help the wiki but made a mistake. Correct it and let the user know.
  • The creation of alternate accounts (or sock puppetry) is not allowed and will result in a permanent ban.
  • Plagiarism is not allowed, please do not just take information directly from other wikis. We are all working together on this.
  • Do not partake in edit wars. Please come to an understanding on the discord or the wiki

Citing/Updating Information

  • Be test your information if possible, or get multiple players' accounts.
    • If your edit is revert/removed despite having multiple sources/testing, please use the talk page or the discord. No edit wars.

Talk Pages

  • Use talk pages properly, this is not Fandom.
    • Use ~~~~ and your username to separate what you have put in from someone's else messages.
    • Do not remove or edit other people's messages, unless it is to fix broken links or templates.
    • Talk pages should always be on topic of the parent page.

Grammar, Spelling and Formatting

  • Pages are written in U.S. English. Please be sure to use use proper spelling and grammar when contributing to the wiki. This includes proper punctuation and capitalization.
  • Make sure you know how to format text and to preview your work before submitting a page.

Citations

  • Claims about characters, events, or entities should be backed up by a source, such as a link to the message within the discord or an screenshot.
