A hook is an item used for either getting to higher places, pulling things, or connecting two things. It can be found around the world or bought from the store.
Appearance
Hooks are long, black ropes with two white hooks at each end. In its default state, it sits coiled around itself.
Usage
By left clicking with a hook on hand, the player can send forward a hook. This hook will try to attach to a surface it touches. It will continue swinging around the player until it either successfully attaches itself to something, or the player retracts it.
Once attached, the player can scroll the mouse wheel up to loosen the rope, or scroll down to tighten it. A tight enough rope will pull the player towards the surface it is attached to, thus it can be used for reaching higher places.
The hook can always be retracted with the right mouse button. It can also be retracted with the left mouse button as long as the player is looking away from any nearby surfaces.
After the first hook is launched, the player can attach the second hook to a nearby surface by pressing the left mouse button again. This allows you to attach two things together.

Trivia
- At the start of the game, there will be a mannequin hanging from a fake hook on the radio tower. If the player attempts to grab this hook, it will cease to exist.
